Testing and Letter of Intent Dates

We hope everyone is having a blessed summer. Remember to get your testing results for Math and Language in to your superintentant's office by August 1st if you homeschool under the homeschool statute. Letters of intent need to be sent by August 15th. For more information on homeschool laws in Virginia we recommend the Home Educators Association of Virginia www.heav.org . We further recommend The Homeschool Legal Defense Association www.hslda.org as an excellent resource for information and ask that you prayerfully concider supporting both groups in their efforts to maintain and defend our right to homeschool in this wonderful state. You won't regret it!

Fall Registration

Summer is finally here and I know we all want to forget about school for awhile, but please be sure to register for FAITH to become or remain a member of our yahoo e-group (which is our primary means of communication). You can find the form at www.wbfva.org and click on FAITH Homeschool on the right. From there you can download and print the registration form. Or you can email me at 9forjesus@gmail.com . There are no registration fees for the 2010 - 2011 school year!

Faith Picnic 2010

Year End Picnic

The year end picnic will be on May 28 at Rady Park from 11:00am till whenever! This is a great opportunity to connect with old friends and make new ones. Bring friends interested in FAITH and sign your family up for the the upcoming school year - registration forms will be available. You must register to remain on the e-group which is our primary means of updates and communication. You will want to be informed of social events, field trips, co-op classes, special concerts and events, etc. Your FAITH homeschool group offers all the talents and gifts of you, our members, to help contribute to the education of GOD's children. Let us know what you want to offer from the gifts GOD has bestowed on you, your FAITH family would like to participate!
We look foward to seeing and meeting everyone!

End of School Picnic

We will have an End of the School Year Picnic on a Friday near the end of May at Rady Park from 11:00 to whenever. Bring a picnic lunch for your family, skates, bikes, scooters, soccer balls, & volley balls, etc. FAITH will provide extra water on site (and maybe cake!). This is a great opportunity to get our kids together to be kids, and for us teachers to put names and faces together. Firm date to be determined soon!
